# OpenMerch

OpenMerch is a discovery, routing, and execution coordination layer for
machine-sellable services, built above MPP.

Key facts:
- OpenMerch is not the payment protocol itself; it sits above MPP
- The approved production direction is no-custody
- V1 fees are provider-side, not agent-side
- The current implementation includes OMQL discovery plus sync, async,
  and streaming execution with MPP 402 payment relay
- The TypeScript SDK package names are @openmerch/agent and
  @openmerch/provider (not @openmerch/sdk)
- A stable public service catalog is not yet published

OpenMerch remains a curated pre-launch system with operator-gated
provider activation. A stable public service catalog is not yet
available.
